Evert Gummesson Award

This award is a high recognition for scholars who have contributed with originality and excellent achievements to service research.

Evert Gummesson is Emeritus Professor at the Stockholm University School of Business, Sweden, Honorary Doctor of the Hanken School of Economics and a fellow of the University of Tampere, Finland. He has written or contributed to more than 50 books in 10 languages and published numerous articles. His interests embrace service, relationship marketing, network and complexity theory and research methodology. His next book, Innovative Case Study Research in Business and Management, will by published by SAGE in 2013. He has co-founded and co-chaired the Naples Forum on Service to be held for the third time in 2013. In 2011 he became the first winner of the S-D Logic Award, established by US professors Bob Lusch and Steve Vargo, and the Grönroos Service Research Award, establihed by HankenSchool of Economics, Helsinki, Finland. .

Prof. Evert Gummesson inspired the Naples Forum on service. In 2011 his co-chairs conceived a distinctive initiative to thank him and give a profound recognition to his excellent achievements in service research.
